Overview
​
Oversee and direct all aspects of the bar operation, ensure customers are receiving their drinks in a reasonable timeframe and to a high standard. Maintain a fully stocked bar, both drinks and recourses. Ensure that health and safety procedures and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act (2012) are being followed.

Duties and responsibilities

Hold a duty managers licence and abide by the procedures and laws taught.

Order and maintain a stable amount of stock on hand.

Create an adequate drinks menu to fit the restaurant, changing seasonly or when needed.

Ensure bar is reasonably stocked for each shift.

Train and impart knowledge to all employees to ensure high standard of service.

Ensure the bar’s opening and closing procedures are being completed by yourself or other bar staff.

Deliver quality service and maximise customer satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.

Communicate with staff on any updates; eg, new drinks, running low or out of.

Along with the restaurant manager set, follow and manage budgets for the bar.

Lead by example, conduct bar procedures to a high standard enthusiastically.

Deal with any employee or customer issues when they arise.

Report any employee or customer issues with the general manager if the issue continues to be a problem.

Create a positive environment and keep staff morale high.

Conduct any bar training or meetings that may be required.
-
Represent and maintain the restaurants brand.
