Junior Chef


To follow the already established food preparation tasks and produce menu items to the high standard. Provide quality menu items to increase customer satisfaction while practicing health and safety practices. Gain overall kitchen knowledge and skills by working in different sections of the kitchen and being taught from experienced chefs.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Completing food preparation tasks ready for service.

  • Following established cooking procedures and instructions to ensure consistency, quality and cost.

  • Following kitchen polices and procedures to maintain standards for health and safety at work in all food preparation areas.

  • Communicating with staff members (Other kitchen staff, Front of House and Management). 

  • Follow and complete opening and closing procedures.

  • Receive delivers and put away stock.

  • Notify head chef or supervisor if stock gets low.

  • Completing reasonable tasks from the executive chef, head chef or supervisor. 

  • Ensure the high quality of the food as it is the representation of the Empire Chicken brand.
